RFID Settings

General

  • Enable: Enable reading of RFID tags. The default value is true.

  • Transmit mode: Defines when tag data is sent. The default value is Send tags continuously. The options are:

    • Send one tag: One tag is read per session.
    • Send tags only once: Each tag is reported once per session.
    • Send tags continuously: Tags may be reported multiple times per session.
  • Inject to scanner: Enable tag data to be processed as barcode data. The default value is false.

  • Power level: Power level to use for RFID communications (5 to 27 dBm). The default value is 20.

  • Session policy: Determines how long a tag is in the inventoried state (EPC Gen2 tags only). The default value is Very short session.

  • Q Parameter: Determines the approximate throughput of tag data (per time slot). The default value is 1 tag.

  • Inventory mode: Determines when an inventory session stops. The default value is Timed. The options are:

    • Timed: Inventory stops after a defined timeout
    • Continuous: Intenvory stops after a user action
  • Inventory timeout: Timeout used to stop an inventory session (50 - 60,000 ms.). The default value is 5000.

  • Target mode: Defines which tags (by state) are targeted during a session (EPC Gen2 tags only). The default value is Target A.

  • Communication profile: Communications profile number to use by the RFID reader. The default value is Profile 7.
