Web Wedge

The Web Wedge feature on Datalogic Mobile devices automatically opens the web browser and navigates to the URL within a scanned QR Code link. It eliminates manual steps, saves time, reduces errors, and provides a seamless user experience. Whether in public spaces or enterprise settings, Web Wedge enhances productivity and improves QR Code scanning.

The web wedge properties are editable through the SDK, OEMConfig, Scan2Deploy Studio, and Datalogic Settings.

To access the Web Wedge settings, tap Datalogic Settings -> Scanner & Decoder -> Wedge. Under the Web Wedge section you can find the following options:

  • Enable web wedge: A boolean enabling the captured data to be sent to the Internet browsing application, in the form of a valid URL. The default value is false.
